Dog Shit Taco is an Avant Garde Metal band first formed in Los Angeles in the year 2000. All members of the band are alumni from the Music Department at CalArts. They released their first album \"Beef Oxide\" in 2004 which included eccentric abnormalities such as an Opera Singer, Death Metal guitar licks, French Horn, and tonalities which reached far beyond the Circle of Fifths. Dog Shit Taco uses a wide range of overlooked composition techniques from the 20th century including the Twelve Tone Technique invented by Arnold Schoenberg, Chance Procedures and Prepared Piano invented by John Cage, Sampling (made popular by DJ Shadow), Extended Vocal Techniques, and Process Music. All of this combined with 21st Century Rock and Metal make Dog Shit Taco a novelty listening experience.
