I wanted to distill what it was that first drew me to vaporwave and then push those fundamental pieces in a different direction. I tried to break down albums I enjoyed to their most basic elements then, with a fresh ear for experimentation and a somewhat unconventional collection of samples, I aimed to create something recognizably unfamiliar.
