Many of you have asked me to release some of my own material, so here you go!
The story about \"Lullaby\".
I started writing \"Lullaby\" back in 2011. But the only thing I came up with at that time was the main melody part that can be heard in the intro. And then I kind of forgot about the song for some years. I've tried to revisit the song a couple of times after that, but without any luck on coming up with a verse. Fast forward to the beginning of 2018, when it all finally began to take speed. I came up with a verse that I really enjoyed. The name of the song was now \"Red Moon\", and I'd come up with the \"lalala\"-choir part that can be heard in the middle of the song and in the outro as well. And then it was time for lyrics, but also a theme for the lyrics. I remember that I felt like the big \"lalala\"-choir sounded like a riot, or maybe like the people of a society singing a melody together in some sort of dispair and sadness. So I started working on that theme. But then of course, Red Dead Redemption 2 was released and I began create all my Red Dead related covers. So my own songwriting was put on hold for the time being, which turned out to be a full year (!). But then I finally had time to finish this song. So it's been a while, but now it's done. Enjoy \"Lullaby\"!
Lyrics:
Here we are at the end of our fall
Where shadows grow in disguise
History repeats itself
It’s right in front of our eyes
The moon is full
It shines without a light
So we drown the world
In a lullaby
In a lullaby
I’m feeling blue ’cause they’ve got roots
Too cruel to understand
They’re marching through the streets at night
To show the blood on their hands
We can’t begin
To pray beneath the sky
So our voices ring
In a lullaby
In a lullaby
Lalala lalala
Lalala lalala....
So here we are at the end of it all
Where shadows grow in disguise
History repeats itself
Let’s pray for all mankind
Pray for all mankind
