Goldeneye is a game that I'll never get sick of covering the music from. The way the three composers did the music so seemlessly, you'd never guess it was done by more than one person! And it's all so good! You can really feel the dank moisture of the caverns in just the track alone so I knew in post I would have to get a bit creative with the reverb and stuff. I'm running out of tunes to cover from Goldeneye which makes me sad so maybe I'll have to do a seperate project with them later.
I'm finding that the music I've been listening to has been bleeding into my covers a lot. I've been listening to a lot of Veil of Maya and Animals as Leaders lately which I attribute to why my tone got rather djenty in this cover. I didn't end up hating it though, it actually really influenced how the end result sound and how I wrote the rhythm guitar part. I've been going a bit nuts with bass lately so I chose to tone it down to let the rhythm guitar shine. Also, finally figured out the 'Poooooong' sound! Bahaha!
Hope you guys enjoyed it! Next week I've got another classic Sonic cover for you since you guys seemed to really like the last one a lot! :)
