Great free jazz outing from Jemeel Moondoc's criminally under-listened-to late-70s experimental group, Muntu. The record really comes into its own on side two's \"Theme for Milford,\" a 20-minute freakout odyssey and compositional wonder where each player's autonomy and room to breathe is constantly pushing the track right to the edge of catastrophe, though it never falls apart. Notable musicians besides Moondoc include Rashid Bakr (drums) and William Parker (bass).
