What can I say about Boots Clements? Well, not an awful lot. Boots first showed up on my radar when I ran across his cover of Sukiyaki which landed on the Billboard Country charts for all of one week. However, this one brief brush with success is not what he is most remembered for. No, that would be his disco-fied rendering of "Ghost Riders in the Sky". The man had been on the scene for some time before that and had been recording since the early 70s at least as George Clements.
After 'Sukiyaki', Boots would land a couple more chart entries albeit in Cashbox only with "You Can Have Her" and "The Night Has a Thousand Eyes".
Boots passed away in 2004.
I recently ran across a sealed copy of this on the cheap so I figured I'd pick it up and, since none of this has been posted to YouTube (except for Ghost Riders), I thought I'd rip it for everyone's listening pleasure. And take my new Shure M97xE out for a spin.
