[Hip Hop/Electronic/Pop Rap/Electro/Electro Funk/Synth Pop] Here is the legendary Mr. T (Laurence Tureaud) with his first album titled: \"Mr. T's Commandments. I know what you are thinking...how and why does Mr. T of all people have an album? Well it was the 80's and everything seemed marketable in those days, lol. Coming on the scene in the early 80's as Clubber Lang in \"Rocky III\" (where he got his trademark \"I pity the fool\" phrase.) And most famously as B.A. Baracus in \"The A-Team\", he became a combination actor/motivational speaker/religious advocate during his A-Team success. This is where this album comes into play, because at the height of his fame children's education rallied on the typical war against drugs led by Nancy Reagan . Since Mr T was popular and a motivational speaker, producer Patrick Henderson thought it would be most profitable to aim the album towards the youth of America with lessons on love, not talking to strangers, honoring parents, doing homework and saying \"no\" to drug use. Using his life and career success as a role model to youth, on this album Mr. T encouraged kids to follow the rules, be honest, avoid peer pressure, stay in school and off drugs, booze and cigarettes and listen to their parents...Or else. Cheesy i know but he was a pure advocate for clean living. This album also had rap lyrics interestingly written by Ice-T (credited as Ice Tea). I cant confirm how well the album did but it definitely got some attention back in the day; however it can be hard to find so if you see it pick it up. This album was released under Columbia Records and CBS Records '84.
