In the fall of 1985, the band entered Future Sound studio to record their debut album Torment in Fire, released in Canada on Diabolic Force in 1985, and in 1986, on Metal Blade Records in the United States and on Roadrunner Records in Europe.
The success of this album lead them to play with bands like: Possessed, Voivod, D.R.I. and Agnostic Front, and to open for bands like: Megadeth, King Diamond, and Slayer.

Marquee Records has a 2 cd release, re-issued and re-mastered. It includes live audio performances from different shows and their 1985 The Exorcism demo, with a well laid out and informative booklet. Other Sacrifice cd's, shirts, and a live DVD available as well.
