The most James Bond-y theme that's not from a Bond movie! Also, ladders are really cool. Insaneintherainmusic's jazz cover / remix of Snake Eater from Metal Gear Solid 3.
I believe that video game music is a hugely important part of many of our lives. To pay tribute to these fantastic compositions and their composers, I arrange their compositions in various jazz styles! I release video game jazz arrangements on this channel every other Saturday at 12:30 PM EST!
This game is fantastic! I just finished playing through Metal Gear Solid 3 and enjoy it so much. The gameplay and music were solid, but what I really loved was the plot. Kojima and the others who worked on the story told such an incredible story through the game, and kept me hooked throughout. I accidentally skipped through the opening cutscene that features this song (oops) so I watched the cutscene on YouTube and experienced this song in-game for the first time. Wow.
I considered arranging this tune for a vocalist, but in the end decided to just go it alone with a saxophone lead! The opening section with the rhodes and saxophone was kept at the original tempo as a slow introduction, but then... I took things in a totally different direction. I was inspired by a tune called \"The Hornet\" by the Yellowjackets, and decided to go for a retro 70's / 80's style groove! This ended up sounding like Snake Eater meets disco... which I'm totally cool with!
Thanks to TheLegendaryMetroid for gameplay footage!
