Edmonda Aldini was born in Reggio Emilia by Sisto Aldini and Alderice Casali. At the age of 14 she won a scholarship competition and was admitted to the Academy of Dramatic Art, directed by Silvio D' Amico, before the minimum age. In 1951 she graduated, along with actors such as Luigi Vannucchi, Glauco Mauri, Franco Graziosi and then-directed director Andrea Camilleri. She debuts, and is immediately noticed for his uncommon recitative skills, as dramatic playwright actress at San Miniato in 1953 in Carmelite dialogues as Sister Constance. In 1955 she is accompanied by Vittorio Gassman, with whom she has been performing for several years covering some of the greatest difficulties. Among the best works of that period are the following: Jean Anouilh's Ornifle (1957), social drama On the outskirts of Federico Zardi, the memorable interpretation in Oreste of Vittorio Alfieri, a beautiful Clitennestra, all played on the low registers. In January 1961 she participated in the play Schweyk in World War II, by Bertolt Brecht, at Piccolo Theater [Piccolo Teatro] in Milan directed by Giorgio Strehler, with Tino Buazzelli, Maria Grazia Antonini, Marisa Bonati, Vincenzo De Toma, Cesare Polacco, Enzo Tarascio, Franco Sportelli, Robero Pistone, with great success. Until the Game of the Television Heroes (1963), a great critic and public critic, in which he supported all the female roles, from Queen Atossa de Persiani of Aeschylus to Mary in the Fall of the Madonna of Jacopone da Todi. She is also very prominent in RAI's radio prose, from the fifties.
