This project has such a cool story.
We host something called \"Summit\" meetings.
During these meetings, we invite creative minds to come together to vibe & learn.
We discuss current topics, issues, concerns, etc.. while making short & long term goals. Personal goals + Community goals.
Artists, producers, engineers, video, photographers, and visual artists are just some examples of those in attendance.
At this meeting I specifically told the artists that we were *not* making music.
I lied...
I had a challenge for them.
(I didn't tell them until they arrived.)
I flipped 3 records, assigned those records a number, and made each artist randomly pull a # from a bowl.
The artists could not hear each other's beat OR the verses they were writing.
I had hoped for each artist to be 100% themselves.
..and man.. did they do their thing.
I love this project even more because of how we made it.
The album is 3 tracks, showcasing 9 different artists, all within 10 minutes.
We recorded the entire thing during the session.
It really sounds like we planned the whole thing.. but we didn't.
It was all vibes & love that day. Something was definitely in the air.
