I've gone ahead, recorded and replied to an environment in the Boston area that I'm particularly fond of... a tunnel that connects back bay station to copley plaza under daetmouth street. glass walls line it, causing unorthodox acoustic conditions. included is a cd with an untampered 18 minute recording made there (direct digital transfer from the minidisc master) and a piece I constructed in realtime using bits of the 18 minute recording that had been processed earlier in a variety of ways while capturing and processing ambient sounds from the environment I \"performed\" the reply in (the porch of my house).
