Copenhagen-born pianist Bent Fabricius-Bjerre sold over a million 45s of this uncomplicated instrumental piece. Note that many reissue versions of “Alley Cat” are of an alternate take, most noticeable in the different left-hand movement at the :47 and 1:54 marks.
