American Beauties - The Rags Of Joseph Lamb. This album makes up the performance of most of Joseph Lamb's rags though not all. He's considered one of the big three when it comes to famous ragtime composers. Scott Joplin and James Scott are the other two. These pieces are performed by Virginia Eskin. A brilliant pianist in her own right. She does a brilliant job interpreting his music here. As a pianist myself I can't help but admire her unbelievably dynamic playing.
