Tracklist below | The Teenage Boatpeople were an improvisational DIY outfit from Minneapolis. Among their members were Milo Fine, Jeff Johnson, Anny Unger and Ron Strabala. Their art damaged pseudo electronic improv music resembles other US groups like The Residents, The Decayes or Karen Cooper Complex. It also reminds me of the absurdism one can find in the NDW cassette culture from Germany or of British DIY post-punk bands like The Good Missionaries or The Door And The Window. Teenage Boatpeople rank among some of the finest DIY groups from the US from the early 80's. This album was released on BARNEYfife Records in 2004. It was provided first at Mutant Sounds. You can find the website of member Milo Fine here: https://milofine.com/ Tracklist:
