Cozy Cole drum solo.

Cozy Cole and his Quinette.

Recorded from a old 78 r.p.m. jazz record with a black and white
Guild record labeled \"Drum Solo\".

After getting permission, I looked thru thousands of dusty old 78rpm records for three hot summer months and knowing that these records were sure to have been destined for the dumpster.
I found this sweet little \"gem\" of a record up stairs the old book store in Duluth, Minnesota years ago before it closed. I'm glad I took the time to look thru them all.
I remember when I found this one, as a drummer I felt almost panicky to get this record home! I was very excited because this is the one and only record that was actually labeled \"drum solo\" that I had ever seen so I knew it would be great! I pat myself on the back every time I play this one because I feel like this one is like the holy grail....I've never seen the Guild label before and it was also labeled a drum solo on top of it....OMG!

Here's another link from our channel of a \" sound check \" we took as in a \"spur of the moment\" decision to capture this video while we were waiting our turn to perform at the state fair as Elmo tests out the drums...
