Welcome to our first instalment of this week’s Dungeon Synth Sunday.
Our first offering to you today is Strange Divinity - the richly detailed, deeply atmospheric dark, medieval album from Vancouver resident Cowl.
There is a still, quietly imposing power to this album. The dread shadows that creep between the cracks along the mountainside; the eerie might contained in the faint whispers that float between branches, and slip down the riverbanks; and the haunted reverie of crepuscular fauna.
Strangely divine, from a suspended time between the modern and ancient, all at once, and yet, with morning light burning through heavy mists cloaking the dawn, as if it never was.
