Magic Grass began as a recording project in December 2019. Working remotely throughout the first lock-down period, Josep Marin, Ryan Bonnyman, Al Rey, and JA Marquez wrote and recorded the
songs that feature on their debut album ‘What’s All the Fuzz About?’. Mixed and mastered at
Broughton Studios in Edinburgh their first album was released on Christmas Day 2020.
With the addition of drummer Jamie Whigtman Magic Grass are currently in the process of creating their second self-produced album at Paul Dennington's (The Dark Jokes - Wolfnote) Rockchime Studios at Granton Harbour in the capital city.
Magic Grass site influences as far afield as Nick Drake, Pink Floyd, The Zombies, Gary Numan, Steve
Mason and Crazy Horse. Their sound is defined by dynamic song writing, textured layers of vintage
guitars and synthesisers, and reverb laden three-part vocal harmonies. Their second release is due
