Dimitris Patsaros is an Athens-based producer & sound designer. He rambles across the city fusing elements of dancehall, dub, kraut, kosmiche, grime, techno & bass morphing them into a style that feels uniquely his own.
For Skinner/Subside he delivers a translucent and pulsating mix of soft and hard bangers that light up on repeated listens, instantly drawing you in to its textural and moody landscape.
Synth lines, field recordings and vocal treatments blend with rhythmic heat, percussive rituals and tripped-out basslines, providing a haze of warmth, nostalgia and a sense of nocturnal urban deviations.
Ultimately the overall feeling sounds strangely familiar, much like a corrosive déjà vu that by design is not letting you pin-point the actual memory, offering a new vision of forgotten textures, finally arching the dissonant to the sublime.
