After the release of their demo in 1994, Stefan and Rodolphe found a bassist to play with them called François Cossement, together they will play the first real gigs of No Compromise and work on their new set featuring the songs for their first and only album.
In April 1997, the band went to Hautegard Recording to record \"Deceptive Appearances\" with André Gielen, the album will be released on June 1st 1997.
At first, the band's style has evolved from thrash metal to groove metal on this album, four songs which originally appeared on the 1994 demo are played in a more groovy version here (\"No Compromise\", \"Hypocrisy\", \"Paranoïa\" and \"Kill Your God\").
In my opinion most of these new versions are better even if both versions are good.
the production is good, even if I personnaly enjoy more the demo's sound which is more raw and thrashy.
Soon after the release of the album, the band appeared on the \"Metal Session Vol.1\" compilation from 1997 with the track \"Paranoïa\" and a Gig was held in Belgium with other bands from the compilation: Syrens Call, Seyminhol, Cowers and Slipstream played alongside No Compromise at the Spirit of 66 Festival on 26 April 1998.
Two years later, No Compromise split up after having release two great recordings and a lot of gigs in Belgium.
the band will briefly reform in 2014 with Laurent Nelissen on Bass but will quickly split up again.
Their music is underrated and the lack of traces of their existence on the web havennt helped them, do let's enjoy a forgotten gem and rock on!
A huge thanks to the band members who sent me the Album !
