00:00 1. Soft Wave 1

24:24 2. Soft Wave 2

42:18 3. Umineko

Composed and performed by Hiroshi Yoshimura.

Early compositions recorded in 1973/1976, released posthumously in 2005.

This CD is a real treat for anyone interested in hearing Yoshimura's early experiments and improvisations before he commited himself to ambient/environmental music. All sounds from Soft Wave 1 & 2 were recorded using an automatic music box (punch cards going through a automated toy piano). \"Umineko\" is a composition recorded using a acoustic instrument set (soprano saxophone, violoncello, & percussion). The music is very similar to 60s/70s american minimalism (Terry Riley, La Monte Young, etc).
