From his 1972 album 'Scenes and Themes', this is his rather funky yet emotional rendition of that Burt Bacharach and Hal David classic. This came from an LP, so you'll hear some crackles and pops, and it has been cleaned up as much as possible.
This recording is sadly out of print, like much of Montenegro's catalogue. You may have seen plenty of other videos on Youtube, especially his rendition of TV and film theme music, his most famous being \"The Good, The Bad and the Ugly\" (for which he had a sizeable hit. He also has a few good Moog synthesizer-based recordings, especially his version of McArthur Park.
