HYPE - LIVE 1987 and 1988 Tours (Full Album) Canadian Hardcore Punk

Playing Next: Armia - Antiarmia (Hardcore Punk Poland 1987-2009) [Full Album]

Recorded live in Regina 1987 and Vancouver 1988 during HYPE tours.

Check out the Reuben Kincade channel for more HYPE songs and videos or check out HYPE TOHC on Facebook.

From 1983 until 1989 HYPE became the most established hardcore punk band from the Toronto Canada scene and one of Canada's leading hardcore punk acts. HYPE became the first Toronto hardcore band to release a full length LP with Life is hard......then you die! in 1985 and first to tour that same year. In 1987 they released their second LP Burned and completed another tour followed by a third in 1988.

HYPE was also a major force in the Toronto hardcore scene through their not-for-profit concert promotions arm Reuben Kincade Productions which brought in touring bands while ensuring new and less established local bands were given opportunities to play and be paid fairly. HYPE played with many noted groups such as 7 Seconds, MDC, The Freeze, Youth Brigade, S.N.F.U., Adrenalin OD, Rhythm Pigs, Stretch Marks, Unwanted, Asexuals, Death Sentence, Dayglo Abortions, Short Dogs Grow, Target of Demand, 76% Uncertain and False Prophets among many others.

The band's first LP \"Life Is Hard...Then You Die!\" was released in 1985 across North America by their own record label Reuben Kincade Productions and across Europe by We Bite Records.

The bands second LP \"Burned\" was released in 1987 across North America by Fringe Product and across Europe by We Bite Records.

The 1987 HYPE tour and the 1988 HYPE tours are released on the HYPE LIVE 87-88 Tour album

HYPE Live at Larry’s Hideaway 1985 album was also released
