Following his first album arrhythmia, Daniel Ruane is back with his second full-length release on The Silent Howl imprint. The Interpreter confirms that the ‘remix’ is an integral part of the young producer’s musical personality. Negotiating the area between rhythmic and experimental music, Ruane proposes a compelling synthesis of ideas; provoked through a series of remixes of works by artists who come from divergent musical practices - including electronica acts Trinkkets & Inverchoulin, organist Fred Thomas, noise explorer Martijn Comes and folk-rock band Kumiko.



The Interpreter is a tour de force; Ruane’s triumph is in imposing his very own aesthetic voice to these diverse borrowed materials. The album concludes with remixes of Ruane's own original works by three unconventional artists each with their own distinctive vision for re-interpretation; Pierre Alexandre Tremblay, Loftmind and Shay.
