This album is part of a cycle of six instrumental records that turn Michael Ende's novel \"The Neverending Story\" (original title \"Die unendliche Geschichte\") into an extensive musical work. The first installment, called \"Phantásia in Adversity\", tells the story of a boy named Bastian Balthasar Bux finding and stealing a strange book, and of the first few events that he reads about.
