In late 1932, The Vocalion Company who made Broadcast records, was absorbed by Crystalate. Rather briefly, this label appeared. Very similar to Homophone's 4 IN 1 label, Broadcast Four-Tune featured tightly-packed grooves, allowing two 10\" length tunes on each side. It's a pity this label was only short-lived, as I really like the patter from the vocalists inbetween the two numbers.
Harry Bidgood, who had been the musical director for Vocalion, also joined Crystalate when Vocalion folded, and side two gives a clue as to what his next venture into the recording world would be....that of Primo Scala, a guise that he would use very successfully into the 1950's.
Side one was recorded 13th March, 1933 and features vocals by Sam Browne & Billie Lockwood.
Side two was recorded in March, 1933 and features vocals by Les Allen & Billie Lockwood.
