There are a few reasons why I decided to record this amazing song by REO Speedwagon. First, a number of people have recently watched my cover of their mega-hit, \"Can't Fight This Feeling\", and gave me some heart-warming compliments.

Next, a colleague asked me to sing \"Can't Fight This Feeling\" for a commercial he was putting together and I found myself rocking out once again to the song. And so I was back on an REO high, watching their videos here on YouTube and following them on Facebook.
In so doing, I came across the XM Radio show in which the band is unplugged and doing acoustic songs. I was completely taken by their humility and Kevin Cronin, lead singer, once again had me spellbound. When he sang \"I Needed To Fall\", I knew I had to cover it. No small feat however...it's really hard to sing, at least for me it is. But I fell in love with the song once more. I had been searching for something to cover and it was clear that this would be it.

I was so impressed with their acoustic set on the XM Radio show, I decided that in this video, there would be no special effects, no panning ... just doing the song. I simply sat down and did my best to sing Kevin's song. Did the harmonies, guitars, bass and percussion. All quick and honest.
So Kevin Cronin, if you're out there, and the guys in the band, I dedicate this to YOU. You guys have rocked us for decades, we grew up with your music. Never stop and we certainly will never stop loving you.
