Composed, recorded and produced within three weeks on a whim in between sessions for the upcoming intended follow-up to debut album “Connections”, “Oddbox” is a spontaneous collection of tracks that didn’t appear to fit the theming of the intended follow-up album but worked well together regardless. On a self-imposed time limit of the end of the year, DeWitt’s latest album is a celebration of the year ending with tracks that solidify the collective’s struggle throughout the start of the new decade with an uplifting, yet compassionate aura. Tracks like “Litany” sonically describe the consensus of a continuous back-and-forward, carousel motion in regards to the certainty and ultimate uncertainty of social wellness and interaction, whereas “Follow” encourages an optimistic viewpoint, an ode to better days waiting to come.
