Here's my video game saxophone cover of Gerudo Valley from Ocarina of Time! I'm Sab and I love saxophone and video games, so now I make covers that combine two of my favorite things!
It has been over 4 years since I've covered this song! It definitely needed an update! I've been wanting to recover this for about a year, but didn't really know how to approach it. I was really close to covering it this past December, but didn't get an idea haha! I talked with a friend who LOVES Ocarina of Time and decided to give it another try for his birthday!
I was really inspired by my Latin Music History class as we talked about a lot of the rhythms used in Latino music and listened to some music done by orquesta groups. One in particular gave me the idea for the comping pattern in the song.
I wanted to try something way different than what I do, but still keeping the \"essence\" of the original Gerudo Valley. I had a lot of fun putting this together and experimenting with writing parts for this
