In 1996, Mineta Kazunobu (vocal guitar) and Asai Takeo (guitar, then drum) formed 'Going Steady'. Aviko Shinya (bass) joined in 1997, and Murai Mamoru (drum) joined in 1998. In July 2001, their 2nd album 'さくらの唄' was released. The single \"童貞ソー・ヤング\" released in 2002 recorded third place on the Oricon chart (Japan's Billboard) despite being an indie. On January 15, 2003, just before the nationwide tour, they suddenly disbanded. Later, Mineta, Abiko, and Murai formed \"Ging Nang Boyz\".
