Born in the Turkish city of Izmir in 1977, Zeynep Gedizlioglu studied composition under Cengiz Tanc in Istanbul, and Theo Brandmüller in Saarbrücken, Ivan Fedele in Strasbourg and Wolfgang Rihm in Karlsruhe in addition to music theory under Michael Reudenbach.
