While listening through a bunch of cassettes Iooking for old beats I made, I came across an old breakbeat battle I recorded off the radio in 1997 between Pete Rock and Kutmasta Kurt on \"The Wake Up Show\". What made it interesting was the fact that the show was being broadcasted live from radio stations in LA and New York simultaneously. Pete Rock was in New York and Kurt in LA. Another thing that made it interesting was that this was on a mainstream radio station where you would never hear a battle involving only rare records between two DJ's and to make it even more cool was that the two DJ's were two of the top \"underground\" DJ/producers!
