British pioneers The Specials play ska. No punk or funk hybirds; no messing around. And with ska hot again in the late '90s, they returned to action with GUILTY 'TIL PROVED INNOCENT to school the youngsters in the tradition. They have essentially written the book on modern ska. These tunes are chock full of skankin' guitars, melodic horns and shouted-chorus background vocals from the bluesy opener \"Tears In My Beer\" to the rocking \"Fearful,\" which features guest vocalists Tim Armstrong and Lars Frederiksen of Rancid. Twenty years after their late-70's heyday, The Specials are still running circles around the bands they influenced. As a special bonus, three live hidden tracks (\"Rat Race,\" \"Concrete Jungle\" and \"Gangsters\") are included at the end of the CD.
