Bill Samuels and the Cats 'n Jammer Three were one of the first groups signed to Mercury records in 1944. Bill Samuels piano, Adam Lambert guitar, Sylvester Hickman bass, & Hillard Brown drums. They hit it big with their version of \"I Cover the Waterfront\". They could be smooth like Nat King Cole Trio or loud like Louis Jordon, or raunchy like Wynonie Harris. This is their version of the big 1947 hit \"Open the Door Richard!\" with the added reference to the wife & Richard in the room together.
