Biography:

At the end of 2015, over the course of 2 demos, 2 split albums and a full-length, Chiral tries to transcend the foggy landscape of the North Italian lands with a new atmospheric/post-black metal approach.

His compositions shine of a dim light dwelling through the branches, alternating solar as well as gloomy moments. Folk-ish instruments are used to gather the listener in contemplation, while gentle veils of synths are crafting a misty and mysterious aura. If the dreamy and hypnotic atmospheres of Lustre met the breathless wonder of Fall of Rauros’ melodies that would be probably what Chiral sounds like.

Chiral is an Italian one-man band, from the countryside near Piacenza, started at the end of 2013.

Chiral incorporates musical elements of the North-East USA Cascadian Black Metal (like Wolves In The Throne Room and Agalloch), atmospheric as well as raw black metal influences (like old Burzum and Ulver) with a special taste for acoustic instruments by the likes of Opeth and Falls of Rauros.

The lyrical themes are mainly based on introspection, nature, solitude, pain, death and even love.

Autumn of 2015 sees the release of Night Sky, Chiral’s second full-length album. Night Sky digs deep in an atmospheric black metal land while adopting some post-metal reminiscences and tries to draw the listener on a voyage amongst light, emotions and introspection under the starlit night sky.

Most probably, the future will see the band taking some other transformations in style and genre and expand its starting concept of black metal.

This 2nd full-length album will also see Chiral going indie for the first time and bravely self-release Night Sky (in both physical and digital edition), taking care everything on his own, from production to distribution, trying to have the ultimate freedom to express his ideas of musical landscapes.
