[Synth Pop/Electronic/Pop/Disco/Dance/AOR] Here is Louisa Florio with her highly sought after self titled debut album: \"Louisa Florio\". It is kind of upsetting how unnoticed Florio was because her music isn't bad at all. Though she is little known outside of Canada (or even within Canada, for that matter), it appears that Florio still has an audience who loves her work. I believe that Louisa originates from Toronto, Canada, and that this first album was produced by Harry Hinde, a disco producer who had worked with Shania Twain on her pre-fame demo tapes. She had released a one off single in 1985 called \"The Effect\" (which i have included as a bonus for this album), and then \"Deeper In Debt\" a year later. \"Deeper In Debt\" (Track 4) ended up appearing on this debut album and several more songs from the album (like \"Love Attack\" and \"Today I Met The Boy I'm Gonna Marry\") were also released as singles by Tembo Records, likely as a test to see which would possibly hit, but only \"Love Attack\" (Track 1) got any attention. On an interesting side note, Louisa's version of \"Tell It To My Heart\" (Track 2) was not released as a single, but it was the FIRST KNOWN VERSION of the song recorded and was the version Taylor Dayne heard before deciding to record it herself (and we all know how well that song ended up becoming, lol). She released another album in 1989 and then after that her career is hard to trace, though she did appear on the Swedish show Top Gear on April 20, 1990 singing two songs, while also doing some recordings in the late 90's for the now defunct Swedish label Nouveaux Records, releasing both Pop music as 'Luiza' and Eurodance as 'Venus' but that is pretty much about it. I'm sure due to her interesting popularity someone out there knows what she is up to today. This album was released under Tembo Music '87.
