Vassal of Decadence's third album, Pariah, is a concept album. The storyline starts with a virus that causes a fetus to become something like a horror movie monster. After birth, the child becomes treated unfairly due to their appearance and is eventually banned from its village. For years the pariah dwells on its prior home at what it thinks is a safe distance. One day, it's discovered and the village sends out a team to kill the pariah. In return, the pariah kills the team and decides to take revenge out on the village that it once called home, destroying everything and everyone in the process.
