During the turbulent dissolvement of #Exhorder, guitarist Jay Ceravolo was attempting to keep the band together by hunting down a new lead singer. Wil Buras was the man Ceravolo was most impressed by, but Buras turned the situation around and asked Ceravolo to join the band he was forming. Hence ‘Fall From Grace’ was created, rounded out by bassist Marc Hernandez and drummer Eric Stierwalk, rigorous song writing and rehearsing was to ensue. The band honed their live performances as a headlining act at small venues across South Louisiana & developed a respectable following serving as a support act for many fellow bands/acts over the next several years. Fall From Grace shared stages in venues of all sizes with bands such as #Abuse, #Acid_Bath, #Crowbar, #Eyehategod, #Soilent_Green, #Tungsten, #Stressball, #Down, and #Graveyard_Rodeo - just to name a few. A deal with Century Media was made & the band signed with Mayhem Records to record their self-titled debut album for a worldwide release in October of 1997.
