The Others http://www.theothers.com.au/History/

An Australian band. Formed 1962 Adelaide, South Australia Bass, Drums, Guitar, Harmonica, Voice The Others - Adelaide’s, perhaps even Australia’s, first blues/rock band as mentioned formed in 1962.

Founding members Ian Nancarrow and Jeff Gurr, along with long time guitarist Steven Korovljev, have recruited two powerful young musicians to update the sound, while staying true to the ethos and honest roots of music, the group will be something to see. The group has European tours lined up and a new album out that has been reviewed as a masterpiece. The Others were a powerful combination in the sixties and to see them perform and still play live music with a lift of new blood in the group should be very exciting.

Many changes had been made through the time the group existed but the band will always be remembered as a definite contribution to South Australian Rock in the early sixties. The group disbanded many times in 1971 reforming in 1973, 1980 to 1983, 1985 to 1987. The group reformed once again at the turn of the century recording a new album ’HIT THE WALL’.
