The Metros were Minneapolis/St. Paul band, it's a stellar record, walking a fine line between the 80's new wave style and 80's mainstream pop/rock. Produced by Tommy West and Warren Peterson it was recorded in Tennessee and released on MTM Record. The band was: Jody Hanks (lead vocals), Andy Bailey (Keyboards, Vocals), Dusty Cox (Saxophones, Keyboards) Danny Mangold (Electric And Acoustic Guitars) Andy Gauthier (Drums) & Larry Stock (Bass, Vocals). It might be interesting for you to know that besides writing and playing for the band, Danny Mangold customized guitars for Prince and Janet Jackson among others at Knut-Koupe Music in Minneapolis before moving to the Pacific Northwest where he opened Danny's Music\" in Everett, Washington, a rare and vintage guitar shop. In April 21, 2001, he was seriously injured when his 1963 Ford Futura, given to him by Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters, went off the road and crashed near Seattle. Mangold's injuries were so severe that he had to close down Danny's Music and sell off the inventory, to pay his medical expenses.
