The fourth album released by Metallica. Released in 1988. I like the lyrics and general music compositions on this album, however it was poorly mixed and produced. It's rumored that it was done intentionally to drown out their new bass player's, Jason Newsted, bass lines and back up vocals. I honestly believe the rumor because the bass is annoyingly mild for a thrash metal band.
