Somber cinematic tones and subtle melodies cascade across a darkened synthscape on Mega Drive’s latest sci-fi offering, \"Source Code,\" available today from independent synthwave label FiXT Neon. Like everything Mega Drive has released from his upcoming new 199XAD album, \"Source Code\" reveals a songwriting versatility and creative unpredictability that provides a thrilling retro-futuristic audio experience. The track scales back from the intensity of recent singles like \"Gun Hag\" and \"SKULjammer\" to reveal a piece of atmospheric artistry on one of Mega Drive’s most patiently immersive compositions to date.

\"Source Code\" is the latest single released in advance of Mega Drive’s upcoming full-length album, 199XAD. The recording is a direct sequel to one of the artist’s most iconic and celebrated releases, 198XAD, and it revisits the sound of the original while incorporating a host of new songwriting and production skills. The complete 199XAD album is due for release in early October through FiXT Neon.
