Hooker Family Legends Music Series. Another family group of descendants of John & Mandy Hooker. The Gloryland Trio consisted of Clyde Howell ,Delcie Howell-Goad & Clyde's wife Linda. Delcie's son Willie Goad can be heard on the recording playing snare drum and brushes. Family friends Jerome Goins played bass and his sister Vickie played piano. Delcie's husband Jesse Goad provided the group's transportation. Clyde & Delcie were brother and sister, the children of Tom Howell & wife Jenny Hooker-Howell who was daughter of John & Mandy Hooker. The Gloryland Trio were based out of Stuart, Virginia. They traveled throughout the mid south during the early to mid 1970's singing in church services. They are best remembered for their solid vocal harmonies. This is the only recording they ever made.
