'With Her Boots On' was the first of four longplayers by the three young men from Abortive Gasp when they made their very own musical path from Post-Punk to Electro-Industrial. It was taped in 1988 at DESY (German Electron Synchrotron) in Hamburg. The recording got a little bit playful and methodless but also has felicitous moments. Extractions were 'Bye Bye Honey' and 'Church Is Empty' which both respectively sounds very atmospheric. The lyrics are partially bold as well as morbid and macabre.
The track 'A Vision Becomes Reality' includes samples from the Glasnost/Perestroika era and Ronald Reagan. Some modest erotic samples were temperately used for 'Church is empty'. The psychedelic styled sleeve artwork was inspired by young Hungarian actress Cantu from the German vampire movie 'Darling, I feel queasy !'.
