\"The UTBURD project started in December 1996. At that time he was called NECRONOMICON, the music was a little like black-metal. It all started with the fact that someone Yuri R. announced the recruitment of a vocalist in his group. Two people responded to this announcement - Nikolai O. and Roman S. In this composition, the band held 2 obscure rehearsals and then broke up by the end of '96 due to the departure of the band's founder to other musical worlds. Left out of work, Nikolai and Roman fled the same thing ...But they were destined to meet again... they founded the new band called UTBURD and, from that time April 1997, the history of the group begins. Rehearsals were held at Nikolai’s apartment: Nikolay was responsible for guitar and music, Roman for vocals and lyrics. A certain Anton K. was taken to the role of bassist, who had ruled out of the group by the end of 1997. The place behind the drum kit in UTBURD has always remained vacant - many have tried this position, but not one of them has approached. The rest of 1997 - the band spent the first half of 1998 in rare rehearsals - during this time a demo-tape was recorded, which consisted of 5 songs and had a disgusting quality and has not been preserved to this day. The music of the band in that period was an explosive mixture of death - metal, fucking - black and so on. This continued until July 1998, when Yuri P. (taking the pseudonym Yuronimous) was taken in place of the bassist, which gave a new impetus to the group's creativity - it began to play more black music. But this state of affairs did not last long - Yuronimous was expelled from the institute for luncheon and ended up in the Red Army for 2 years. Nikolai and Roman (by that time having taken the pseudonym Varg) were again left alone and the music froze in place ...
Throughout 1999, there were no UTBURD rehearsals. During this time, Varg was preparing material for new songs, Nikolai began to sink more into the alternative, playing in another band, where he changed his guitar to a drum kit. UTBURD came together again in April 2000, when they met brothers from another Tyumen band, DECURION. Five joint rehearsals were held and a decision was made for both groups to cut off in one concert. For this, UTBURD borrowed from DECURION bass guitarist Mikhail L. (pseudonym Frost) and drummer Alexander C. The concert took place on April 24, 2000 at the Tyumen Rock Club. Despite the shitty sound, the music reached the hearts of the audience and was well received, which the musicians themselves did not expect. By the end of 2000, Nikolai finally left UTBURD, having decided to devote himself to work in another band that had nothing to do with blackmetal. Strange as it may seem, this circumstance only contributed to the further progress of UTBURD music. Left alone, Varg collected all the material he had accumulated over the past 3 years, processed it and devoted himself to work on the new album. In June 2001, UTBURD spewed the first record - the demo \"Demonthrone\", which in addition to his songs included demo opus from another Tyumen band, FORGOTTEN ICED STRONGHOLDS (Забытые Твердыни Льдов ; the split demo \"Твердыни\" 2001). At this demo 3 songs were presented: \"Demonthrone\", \"Awaken...\", \"When Satan Rules...\". Then Varg, for the whole summer of 2001 entered in Gravedigger Studio to realize his dark ideas for a new album. In the recordings, Varg was assisted by Warlord Scar and bassist Frost (both from the band Забытые Твердыни Льдов). The album was scheduled for release in July 2001, but was released later due to the tragic death of session bass player Frost (the bass part on the album was completed by Varg). A new album titled \"Nord\" was released in mid-September 2001 with a circulation of 666 copies. In addition to songs previously released on demo, the album contained 6 more songs: \"Nord\", \"The Nightshadows\", \"Embraced By...\", \"Frozen...\", \"A Soul...\", \"Night\". All material of the album was performed by Varg and contained, along with old songs, new ones modified during recording in the studio. Varg started working on a new album, which it plans to release in early 2002 ...\" ... ...
