Glad Rags are a psychedelic orchestral pop ensemble from Chicago, who fuse chamber pop, art rock, new wave, experimental jazz, funk and soul. Their second full-length features fifteen musicians playing cello, synths, saxes, trombone, bass, drums and auxiliary percussion, and four-part harmonies. Members are involved in various arts advocacy, activist, and arts education programming throughout Chicago. They also help run Hostel Earphoria, an interdisciplinary arts collective, co-op and DIY space that's been serving the underground and alternative arts scene for the past seven years.
