Lapis Lazuli’s first 2 albums ‘Extended Play’ and ‘Reality is’ were released simultaneously in the summer of 2012. Both were recorded full gusto in the same week several months before at the band’s spiritual home, the Bungalow - a house on the edge of Canterbury occupied by three of the members which doubled as a rehearsal space and studio for Lapis Lazuli, Delta Sleep, Wheels, Doc Ellis and others. Recorded and mixed by Neil Sullivan (guitar) It was quite a DIY approach, most of which was recorded with the whole band playing live in the small rehearsal room. The release coincided with a 4 week tour of Europe centred around the Zappanale Festival in Germany. These albums featured the lineup of Adam Brodigan, Cam Dawson, Dan Lander, Dave Brittain, Phil Holmes and Neil Sullivan.
