This is the MO-2 Multi Overtone by Boss. The MO-2 employs Boss’s proprietary Multi-Dimensional Technology, creating a box capable of providing a wide range of pitch shifting and modulation sounds. With 3 modes, the MO-2 can produces the natural chorusing effect of a 12-string guitar, multi-layered organ tones and even some steel drum sounds. Higher modes produce a deeper effect with an octave above and below and you can further enhance the sound via the Detune knob which adds subtle moving textures or rotating speaker sound with a lush sweep. The accompanying Tone control helps tame any spikes that might come from extreme settings, or it can darken the effect for more moody soundscapes. For those players who only want a subtle dash of overtones, the Balance knob ranges from completely clean to fully pitch affected when clockwise. The MO-2’s stereo outputs dramatically expand the range of the pedal, giving players a velvety sheen of detune in three dimensions. Like all Boss pedals, the MO-2 is exactingly engineered and comes housed in Boss’s trademark road-ready explosive-proof enclosure.
