Track 4 from their self-titled debut released in 1975 copyright Polydor Records. One of my all-time favorites, from a band that deserved more success than they achieved. The album had minor sales in most of North America, but became hugely popular in certain regions of the U.S., particularly South Texas, thanks to DJ Joe Anthony of KISS-FM in San Antonio, who played it extensively. Tommy Bolins distinct style is featured, as he plays the lead guitar solos on six of the eight songs, including this one. At the time, he was a session musician working in the same recording studio and filled in for Earl Johnson, after Earl was involved in a dispute with the producer and stormed out of the studio. Buddy Caine later joined the band as rhythm guitarist for the subsequent tour, to allow them to perform the songs as recorded. Written by Earl Johnson & Buzz Shearman and produced by Mark Smith & Moxy. RIP Tommy Bolin, Buzz Shearman & Bill Wade. Featuring:
Buzz Sherman Lead vocals
Earl Johnson Lead & rhythm guitars
Terry Juric Bass
Bill Wade Drums
Special Guests:
Tommy Bolin Lead guitar
Tom Stephenson Piano on \"Fantasy\"
Don't you feel it gettin' crowded, can't even catch my breath
It's this noise and confusion gonna lead us to our death
Can't see no solution, too bad, too bad
We're gonna fly, fly baby, run away from here
We're gonna fly, fly baby, run away from here
I can see the stars shinin', shinin' down on me, yeah
On a misty mornin', like ships on a nightmare at sea
Oh, the sky in my highway is only for me
Come take a little ride babe, you'll fly with me
We're gonna fly, fly baby, run away from here
We're gonna fly, fly baby, run away from here
Wish I was a spaceman, yeah and then visit to the stars
Ow, we're goin' moon rider
Moon rider filled with desire of getting just a little higher
Moon rider filled with desire of getting just a little higher
Waited days, waited years of my life, all because of you
Now the time has arrived and I'm leavin', hope I'll be leavin' here with you
Moon rider filled with desire of getting just a little higher
Moon rider filled with desire of getting just a little higher
Wish I was a spaceman, yeah and then visit to the stars, yeah
Ow, we're goin' moon rider
