Linda Perhacs was born Linda Arnold in Mill Valley, California December 1, 1943. In the late 1960s, she relocated to Topanga Canyon, to work as a dental hygienist in Beverly Hills, California. In her spare time, she wrote songs. In 1969, one of her dental clients, Oscar-winning film composer Leonard Rosenman, heard one of her demos, he was so impressed he brought Linda into a studio during and produced her first album, Parallelograms. When the album failed to make an impression, she returned to her dental career.
The album became a lost marvel and interest peaked again after a re-issue of her first album and eventually it's follow up, The Soul Of All Natural Things, arrived in 2014. I sat on my unopened copy for 5 years, it had gotten filed away sealed and I only listened to it for the first time this week and it blew me away.
